Rita M. Treutel, 85, Marshfield, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. Eric Berns officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 pm until service time. Family committal services will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in the Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County. Rita was born on September 7, 1926 in Blenker, Wisconsin to Michael and Elizabeth (Weinfurter) Pongratz. She attended Blenker Elementary School, Cary School in the Town of Green Valley, and Arthur School in Rozellville. She married LeRoy E. Treutel, Sr. on June 12, 1946 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Rozellville. He died on January 3, 2012. Rita had been employed at Weyerhaeuser Corporation, Marshfield, from 1966 until 1984. Rita was a warm, loving, giving lady. She was a wonderful mother and gave to all of her children and husband every day of her life. She was a caring friend to many. She will be missed. She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Dianne (Ed) Jacobs of Fallon, NV, John (Joy) Treutel, and Judy Treutel, all of Mosinee, and Bill (Shawn) Treutel of Fargo, North Dakota. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters, Carol (Jerry) Spindler and Ann Offer, a sister-in-law, Ann Pongratz and a brother-in-law, Laverne Rehlinger. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a son, LeRoy "Chuck" Treutel, Jr., a brother, Michael Pongratz and a sister, Lorraine Rehlinger. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice or House of the Dove. The family would like to thank the Dr.'s, nursing staff and chaplains of Hospice and the House of the Dove.
