Richard F. Hosek, 71, Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Wells Nature View Assisted Living, Marshfield. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Richard was born on October 4, 1946 in Marshfield, the son of Daniel and Catherine (Zeidler) Hosek and was a 1964 graduate of Columbus High School. He then attended the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, graduating in 1968 with a BA degree in education. As a teenager one would see Richard in front of St. John's Catholic Church selling the Sunday Milwaukee Journal. Richard kept busy doing maintenance repairs on his rental properties. He was a kind and gentle man. Richard is survived by many Zeidler cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel in 1977 and Catherine in 1997. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
