Richard C. Crowe, 50, Marshfield, passed away on Thursday. September 30, 2021 at his home. Richard was born on August 20, 1971 in Chicago, IL, to Francis Conners and Geraldine Crowe. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. He married Wendy S. Kruesel on December 14, 1990 in Sparta, WI. He had been a member of the Wisconsin National Guard and later served in the United States Army from 1993 until his honorable discharge in 2001. Richard was proud to serve his country in the 1st Battalion, 78th Field Artillery at Fort Sill, OK and later in the 249th Engineer Battalion at Fort Bragg, NC. After leaving the Army he worked as a panel electrician at USEMCO in Tomah for many years and then as an over the road truck driver. Richard enjoyed golfing, fishing, listening to all genres of music and working in his garage. He loved spending time with his children and caring for his grandson. Richard was a caring and generous man who impacted the lives of many. He will be missed by his family and friends. Soar high Ginew, we will love and miss you always. Rick is survived by his wife, Wendy and their children, Katelyn Crowe of West Salem, Conner Crowe of Marshfield and Cara Crowe of Virginia Beach, VA, and a grandson, Carter Crowe. He is also survived by his father, Francis Conners his sister, Rebecca Uta of Kenai, Alaska and his brother, Alexander Slavens of Alaska. He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Michael Crowe and a sister, JoAnne LaFountain. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home Tomah, WI. Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. with a service and refreshments following.
