Obituary

Richard Louis Dockstader, 58, Babcock, was pronounced deceased on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at his home in the Town of Remington, Wood County. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Babcock Community Church. Richard was born on October 8, 1955 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Leo and Elvera (Delonay) Dockstader. Richard had a love of music and donated his time putting on concerts for free city music at the lakefront in Milwaukee. He was an avid race fan and also enjoyed go cart racing, loved snowmobiling and spent many hours working on cars. He took pride in his state certification for asbestos and lead removal. He was happiest when with family and friends, barbequing and sharing good conversation. He is survived by his 5 children, Vincent Dockstader, Vanessa Dockstader, Valerie Dockstader, and Theresa Dockstader, all of Marshfield, and Geri Dockstader of Babcock. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Alexandrea Therese, Armani Nachell, Samarra Anne, Andre Richard, and Annabelle Lee. He is further survived by his mother, Vera Dockstader of Sullivan, WI and a sister, Lynn (Randy) Chambers of Texas and a brother, David (Kathy) Dockstader of Oconomowoc. He was predeceased by his father and a brother, Robert. Richard was dearly loved by family and many friends. He will be deeply missed by all lives he touched.
