Regina C. Weinfurter Stanke Seavers, 94, Junction City, died on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home, Port Edwards. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Junction City. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery and grandsons, Larry, Lyle, Leo, and Lonny Grosskreutz, and Jimmy, Michael and Tommy Stanke will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday at Martens / Rembs Funeral Home, Junction City and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Regina was born on August 9, 1919 in Blenker to Charles and Louisa (Altman) Weinfurter and attended St. Kilian's Parochial School in Blenker. She married Norman Stanke on May 8, 1937 at St, Kilian's Catholic Church. He died on July 10, 1967. She later married Roger Seavers on October 13, 1979 in Junction City. He died in May of 1995. Regina farmed in the Milladore and Junction City areas from 1944 until retirement in 1975. She enjoyed playing bingo, rummage sales, making potato dumplings, country gospel and polka music and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Clare (Larry) Grosskreutz of Babcock, David (Dorothy) Stanke of AZ, LeRoy (Patti) Stanke of Junction City, Shirley (Dave) Stanke of MN, and Edward (Donna) Stanke of PA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Loretta Hahn of Pittsville and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husbands, 2 grandchildren, LaVern Stanke and Leon Grosskreutz, sisters, Rose Pongratz, Agnes Buchanan, Dorothy Hollar, Ann Hahn, Margaret Weinfurter and Florence Krings, and brothers, Ervin and Alfred "Fritz" Weinfurter.
