Ray G. Miner, 92 of Marshfield died peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Stoney River Assisted Living in Marshfield.
Funeral services will be at 11am Monday, June 15, 2015 at Cornerstone Community Church with Rev. Bruce Naugle officiating. Burial will be in Brooklawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in the Town of Richfield, Wood County.
Visitations will be on Monday from 10am until time of services at the church.
Ray was born in Laurel, Nebraska on February 14, 1923 to Gerald "Bailey" and Hulda (Chederquist) Miner. He was united in marriage to Jean A. Wheeler on January 15, 1949 in Laurel. She passed away on November 1, 2004.
They moved to Pittsville in 1959 where he farmed until his retirement. While farming, he also worked at Consoweld in Wisconsin Rapids for 30 years.
He was an active member of Free Church in Pittsville until moving to Marshfield where he served on the board and helped with the Mentoring and Memorization Club. After moving to Marshfield, he became a member of Cornerstone Community Church. He went on several mission trips to western states to helped build churches.
Ray is survived by his children Steven Miner of Baldwin, Allan (Jenny) Miner of Irma, Gayle (Robert) Ruckwardt of Marshfield and Neil Miner (Amanda Hoyer) of Kildeer, Illinois. He is further survived by 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Asera Care Hospice and the staff at Stoney River.
