Rachel B. Grosbier, 98, Marshfield, died on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Comforts of Home Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. Savarimuthu Selvalaj officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held from 11:00 am on Monday until service time at Rembs Funeral Home. Rachel was born on October 29, 1918 in Marshfield to John and Clara (David) Esser. She attended school in the Town of Rock. She was united in marriage to Joseph G. Grosbier on May 25, 1946 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He died on May 26, 1978. Rachel had been employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory, Roddis Plywood, Blum Bothers Box Factory and the Sweet Shop Restaurant. She also made and decorated many wedding cakes. She was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Parish Council of Catholic Women and the T.O.P.S. Club. She is survived by 2 sons, John (Nancy) Grosbier and Lawrence (Deborah Reichert-Grosbier) Grosbier, all of Marshfield. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Beverly Caflisch, 3 stepsons, Gerhard, Marvin and Leonard Grosbier, and a brother Alan Esser.
