Philip L. Smazal, 47 of Spencer died on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at his home in rural Spencer. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday February 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home with Fr. Nathaniel Kuhn officiating. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Philip was born on March 20, 1967 in Marshfield to Charles and Rosetta (Hamus) Smazal, Jr. Phil was a farmer, home inspector, and home builder. He could lay a floor, shingle a roof, and do everything else in between. Phil's love of the outdoors and hunting was well evident to all who visited his home. He is survived by his sister Elaine Smazal, and his brother, Dennis (friend Beverly) Smazal both of Spencer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Phyllis Smazal.
