Peter M. 'Rabbit' Wojcik, 71 of Marshfield died on Tuesday morning, April 8, 2014 at Golden Living Center Three Oaks in Marshfield. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Sam Martin officiating. St. John's Funeral Choir will provide the music. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield. Visitations will be on Thursday from 4-8pm at Rembs Funeral Home and again on Friday at the church from 9:30am until service time. There will be a combined rosary service with the Parish and Knights of Columbus at 6:30pm on Thursday at Rembs. There will be an honor guard at the funeral home by the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Assembly from 5:30pm until 6:30 pm on Thursday. Peter was born on March 26, 1943 in Hartford to Frank and Helen (Pionke) Wojcik. He attended Meadowbrook Elementary in the town of Arpin and graduated from Auburndale High School. He entered the United States Army serving from April 7, 1965 until his honorable discharge on March 21, 1967. He was stationed in Mannheim, Germany. On September 6, 1969, he was united in marriage to Irene F. DeGraff at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield. Following his military service, he worked as a silo construction worker, factory worker, truck driving, Figi supervisor, school bus driver for Stratford and lastly had been employed as a machine operator at Felker Brothers, retiring in 2006. He was a former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford and served on the Parish Council and Family Life committees, usher, Eucharistic Minister, chairman of Visiting Committee and distributed communion to homebound parishioners. Peter served on several organizations, Stratford Jaycees, Cub Master for Troop 388, Stratford Fire and Ambulance Department, Honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus 1799 and was a Fourth Degree Assembly member of the Knights of Columbus and Samaritan House. September 9, 2007, he finished his training as leader of prayer for the diocese of LaCrosse which was commissioned by Bishop Listecki. Peter is survived by his wife Irene, children Dennis Wojcik of Marshfield, Debra (Roger) Schuld of Hobart, David (Cindy) Wojcik of Chicago and Dena (Jon) Kulke of Marshfield, five grandchildren, Amanda, Alexander and Alyssa Schuld, Emma and Avery Wojcik. He is further survived by his siblings, Betty Mueller of Des Plaines, IL, Bob (Evie) Wojcik of Arpin, Dick (Doreen) Wojcik of Marshfield, Kathy (Jim) Sala of Clarksville, TN, Ray (Kathy) Wojcik of Arpin, Tom Wojcik of Arpin; Barb (Jerry) Bryant of Marshfield, and Shirley (Gordon) Varsho of Vesper and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Arland Mueller.
