Peter Edward Kearny "Pete" was born on May 19, 1963 in Mountain View CA. He spent his teen years growing up in the Almaden Valley of San Jose. He later moved to Albany Oregon where he worked initially as a long haul trucker and then as a Sherriff Probation officer. In the past 10 years Pete has been battling cancer which subsequently caused his death at age 53. He passed away on August 17th 2016. Pete is survived by his father and step-mother, Mike and Jan Kearny, his sisters Christine Smith and Jennifer K Bates, and his brother Mike Kearny. Pete was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne Clark. We would like to thank the staff at Bethel Center for their kindness and compassion. Social Service Director, Jody Hoffman, showed a kind and gentle spirit toward Pete as did other staff members. God Bless all of you. Pete will be missed by his Care Manager, Lisa Cychosz, who assisted him these past nine months. Thank you to Heartland Hospice who assisted Pete the last few weeks of his life. And lastly, a thank you to Rembs Funeral Home and Crematory for assisting the family.
