IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pauline Rose
(Dockerty) Liske
May 27, 1946 – April 9, 2024
Pauline Rose (Dockerty) Liske was born 1946 in Richland Center, WI and died on April 9, 2024 in Marshfield, WI. She resided in Glidden, WI.
Pauline grew up in West Allis, WI with her parents and 3 sisters and 1 brother. This is where she went to school and was part of the All City Band and String Orchestra, playing violin in High School and even going to events for State. She loved art, sewing, reading and cooking. She graduated from West Milwaukee, WI in 1964.
After graduation Pauline married Eugene (Gene) Keneth Liske in 1966. And had their only child, Eva Jean in 1967. Pauline was baptized in 1974 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, in Milwaukee County Stadium in one of 4 large swimming pools set up on the infield at the convention themed "Divine Purpose" and said " My greatest love is talking to people about the bible and God's Kingdom and what it will mean for all of us. I love teaching and watching as they learn the truth from the Scriptures . "
Pauline, Gene and Eva lived in Madison, WI till Pauline and Gene retired and moved into their northwoods home that Gene built for them till his passing in 2012. Pauline was an entrepreneur and had several businesses; Courier Exchange, many marketing
businesses and even a 50's Cafe that Gene, Eva and her two daughters, Samantha and Mikayla all worked at together. She said it was one of the best times working all together as a family.
She encouraged her daughter and granddaughters to pursue their goals and was a great cheerleader to support them.
She loved to travel and cherished trips with her daughter, granddaughters and sisters.
Most will fondly remember Pauline for her beautiful smile and long platinum silver hair that replaced her deep brown from years gone by. She was positive and never had a harsh word for anyone. Loved to sit over pie and coffee and share dreams and plans on any napkin or placemat that was available. She loved to cook homemade soups and pies and share with friends. She would go to most any length to help out a friend, even drafting her husband, who would never say no.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Eva Jean (Liske) Kortness, grandchildren; Mikayla Sue Rose Kortness and Samantha Jean Liske with Great GrandChildren; Tristan James Eugene Liske and Abigail Marie Rose Liske. Her Sisters; Sue (Bob) Newhouse, nephew Eric, Betty Smith and nephew Jeff , Brother, David (Janice) Dockerty and nephew Ally and Cousin, Brian (Karen) Dockerty.
