It is with sadness we announce the passing of Paula Marie Korger, 71, of Marshfield, passed away on 3/16/26 at the Marshfield Medical Center.

Paula was born on 2/24/55 in Marshfield, WI to James Feirer & Marie (Handrick) Feirer. She was educated in Marshfield. Married to Michael Korger (divorced).

Paula worked as a cook at Perkins and later the American Legion for many years. When not working she enjoyed bowling, Nascar races, Packer games and watching her favorite birds - bluejays, cardinals and robins. Lets not forget the chippies and ducks – making sure they always had their peanuts and corn.

Paula is survived by her daughter Becky Moreno-Garcia (Korger), son in law Israel Moreno-Garcia and grandsons Michael and Nickolas. Paula is further survived by her brothers and sister – Mike (Kathy) Feirer, Terry (Stephanie) Feirer, Bill Feirer, Ellen (Pete) Christopherson and Julie (Mark) Wenzel.

Survived by her nephews and niece – Shawn (Peggy) Feirer, Shane Feirer, Jenni (Chris) Holt, Adam Christopherson, Jimmy (Alyssa) Wenzel, Jeremy Wenzel and various aunts, uncles, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, family and friends.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents James William Feirer & Marie Alice Handrick. Her Sister Pat Zopfi, Brother-in-law Mark Wenzel and Sister-in-law Kathy Feirer, Nephew Tad Christopherson. As well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorial donations may be made in Paula’s name to American Legion Post 54 – Marshfield. The address is PO Box 54, Marshfield WI 54449. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the nurses at the Marshfield Medical Center CCU, Shannon from Compassus, Davita Dialysis and Northshore Nursing home for all the care and support you provided to Paula.

In lieu of a service the family will be celebrating Paula’s life in a celebration at the American Legion at a date yet to be determine. Please remember Paula how we do, full of life and sassiness and remember her for the strength of the love she had for her family and friends.

Her favorite bird Sassy joined her in death the same day and I’m sure they have been reunited and are arguing already.
