IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul T.
Palecek
May 23, 1976 – August 24, 2024
Paul T. Palecek, age 48, of Marshfield, passed away on Saturday August 24, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 28 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield.
Paul was born on May 23, 1976, in Marshfield to Thomas and Jarris Palecek. Paul graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1994, and then continued his education at Rasmussen University where he received his bachelor's degree in IT Security. He was employed at Marshfield Clinic Health System until the present time.
On September 19, 1998, at Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield, Paul married his best friend and the love of his life, Lori A. Gebelein. Paul and Lori were "two peas in a pod" and were always together doing what they both enjoyed or had planned. They were blessed with two children, Austin and Taylor. His greatest joy was being called Papa by his granddaughter, whom he highly adored.
Family was most important to Paul. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching Milwaukee Brewer games, bonding with his dogs, touring wineries/breweries and taking trips with his family or friends. Paul was a smiley guy, and there were hardly any moments where he didn't have a smile on his face. One of Paul's favorite activities to do while passing time was sending Tik-Toks for his family and friends. Colorado held a very special place in Paul's heart, which created many trips to the beautiful state with Lori.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lori, and their children, Austin (significant other – Emma) Palecek and Taylor Palecek, and a granddaughter, Harper "Peanut", all of Marshfield. He is also survived by his parents, Tom and Jarris Palecek and sisters, Stephanie, Linda, and Cheryl. He is further survived by his father-in-law, Donald Gebelein and brothers-in-law, Scott (Sharon)
Gebelein and Daniel Gebelein, all of Stratford, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Wanda Gebelein.
In lieu of flowers, the family will designate a memorial at a later date.
