Patrick James Thill, age 66, residing at 2211 West Fifth Street Marshfield, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in the ICU at Marshfield Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. A visitation will occur an hour before the service at the church from 10-11 am. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.

Pat was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin on July 1, 1957 to Cathryn and Lawrence Thill. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1975, and attended the University of Minnesota, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 1980. Pat attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout, graduating in 1988 with a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. He worked for many years in both Virginia and Minnesota.

Pat was a kind and loyal soul, a deep thinker, who loved the outdoors. He spent the last decade of his life caring for his beloved mother while she struggled with dementia.

Pat is survived by his siblings: Michael J. Thill of Marshfield, Barbara (Mark) Hampel of Plymouth, MN, Robert (Jayne) Thill of Marshfield, Margaret Thill of St. Paul, MN, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his uncle, James J. Kocourek of St. Paul, MN.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Cathryn and Lawrence Thill.

The Thill family is particularly grateful for the exceptional care given to Pat by the ambulance crew, the Marshfield Emergency Room team, and the ICU at the Marshfield Medical Center.
