On Tuesday May 31, 2011 Patrick Joseph Froelich, 62, son, brother, husband, father and Papa joined his father, Joseph, mother, Ruth and sister Judith Froelich in eternal life. Joe and Ruth welcomed their ninth child Pat(ty) on December 7, 1948 in Green Bay, WI. After graduating from Premontre High School he chose to serve his country in the Vietnam War with the U.S. Marine Corps on June 26, 1967. During Pats tour of duty, his bravery was rewarded with a purple heart before his honorable discharge on January 1, 1969. Pats unique style of unselfish leadership led to a 30 year career as the store manager of Shopko. Pat had a tremendous love and pride of his "family" be it at work, in the community and especially at home where he and his wife of 33 years, Susan (Desotell) Froelich raised their six children: Amy (Brady) Hookstadt of Marshfield, Garrett (Melissa) Froelich of South Lake Tahoe, Julie (John) Sinha of Marshfield, Megan DeLeske of Marshfield, Kendra (Lloyd) Froelich of Racine and Brandon Froelich, Marshfield. Pat is survived by his five grandchildren, Devin and Ethan Hookstadt, Madeline Weimer, Caleb and Melina DeLeske. We have all laughed with his great sense of humor, enjoyed his love of cooking and taken part in his Sunday Packer rituals. In short, our dad, your brother, our childrens Papa and friend to everyone, will be greatly missed. "You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life." Pat is survived by his four brothers and six sisters, Marilyn Rottel, Barbara (Jack) Junio, Donna (Phil) Loritz, Tom (Mary) Froelich, Joan (Bob) Schmidt, John (Barbara) Froelich, Joe (Dianne) Froelich, Ann (David) Bonham, Julie Froelich and Bill (Julie) Froelich. Pat is also survived by his fiancйe Karen Robinson. Visitations will be from 4-8 PM Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Rembs Funeral Home and again on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the services. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield with Rev Charles Stoetzel officiating. Burial will be at Veterans Field of Honor Hillside Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #54 of Marshfield.
