Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Patricia was called to heaven on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Colonial Health Services in Colby, Wisconsin, surrounded by her family. We are so proud of the life she lived and the example she set for family and friends.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bakerville with Father Irudayanathan Thainase (Father Nathan) and Deacon Ray Draeger officiating. The family welcomes relatives and friends for visitation from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service. A livestream of the service will be available on Patricia’s obituary page at rembsfh.com

Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Patricia was born on December 19, 1929, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin to Glen and Rose (Bicha) Robertson. She attended Eau Claire Memorial High School and graduated in 1948. After graduation, she worked at Benson Optical, where she met the love of her life, Allan Breden. They were united in marriage on August 26, 1950, in Eau Claire. They moved to St. Louis, Missouri, when Allan was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War. Following Allan’s service, they moved to LaCrosse, and then in 1956, they made Marshfield their home. Patricia was a homemaker while raising their family until the youngest was in school. She worked at Figi’s as a secretary for many years. She then worked at Marshfield Senior High School as the secretary for the Audio-Visual Department. In order to pursue her artistic talents, Patricia started a new business, The Finishing Touch, in Marshfield. The store offered unfinished furniture, unique hand-stenciled home decor items and stenciling lessons. She became a nationally certified stenciler and stenciled in many area homes and Corpus Christi Church. She also taught stenciling classes at Midstate Technical College.

Both Patricia and Allan were faithful members of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, and Patricia was an active member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women. Throughout her life, Patricia pursued her personal and creative interests through a number of organizations. She served on the Marshfield Clinic New Visions Gallery Board of directors. She had a strong interest in historical preservation and was a dedicated member of the Marshfield Heritage Museum, Marshfield Area Genealogy Club, Laird Foundation for Historic Preservation, North Wood County Historical Society - Upham Mansion, Marshfield Center for History and a charter member of the Marshfield Historic Preservation Association. She worked hard to get Historic Register designations for Marshfield Tower Hall, Engine 2442 in Wildwood Park, Upham Mansion and the Round Barn. Patricia also loved exploring genealogy, especially Allan’s and her own family history. She traced her ancestors back to the Revolutionary War and beyond. She was very proud to be a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Through the DAR and the Marshfield Library, she helped others research their ancestry. Patricia discovered in her genealogical exploration that her great-great-grandparents founded

the Upper Iowa University and felt extremely honored to be asked to be the Grand Marshal of their Homecoming parade in 2007. Patricia also loved to use her creative talents. Besides stenciling, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, rosemaling, baking and cake decorating. Birthdays and important events were celebrated with beautifully decorated cakes and cookies. She was always happy to share her interests and talents with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition, she loved music and encouraged all her children to learn to play an instrument.

Above all, Patricia valued her family. She was a Camp Fire Girls Troop Leader and a Cub Scout Den Leader when her children were young. Patricia and Allen attended every concert, sporting event, and school events that their children participated in and as many activities as possible for their grandchildren. There was nothing more important than having all the family gather for holidays and special occasions. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Patricia is survived by her children: Katheryn Wiesman, Anthony Breden, Pamela (Kenneth) Steltenpohl, Thomas (Joan) Breden, and Michael (Roxi) Breden; grandchildren: Eric (Susan) Wiesman, Julia (Benjamin) Sommerfeldt, Michael (Missy Dailey) Wiesman, Emily (Zach Baker) Wiesman, Krista (Chad) Pell, Allan Paul Breden, Lisa Konieczny, Kelsey (Aaron) Hahn, Jonathan (Kaitlyn) Steltenpohl, Gregory (Lisa Scott) Steltenpohl, Elizabeth Breden, Timothy Breden, Peter Breden, Joshua (Mary) Breden, and Samuel Breden; and great-grandchildren: Joseph Sommerfeldt, Breanna Sommerfeldt, Kaitlyn Pell, Carter Pell, Oliver Krieghton, Rose Krieghton, Elowen Steltenpohl, Henry Hahn, Audrey Hahn, Judah Breden, Edison Steltenpohl, Isaiah Breden, Connor Wiesman Baker, and Laura Steltenpohl.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan; her parents, Glen and Rose Robertson; her son-in-law, Arlyn Wiesman; and her siblings: Hugh Victor Robertson, James Robertson, George Robertson, Glenn Robertson, Homer Robertson, Rose Potts, Mae Ellen Benzinger, Elizabeth Robertson, Peggy Laue, Hester Cravey, and Nancy Ann Stobbe.

The family is very grateful for the care and kindness of the staff and management of Colonial Health Services, especially Nurse Nikki and Nurse Stacey.
