Patricia A. (Bloczynski) Boson, 75 of Marshfield passed away at home on April 1, 2015 surrounded by her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Savarimuthu Selvaraj officiating. Dorothy Gehrke along with Sacred Heart Funeral Choir will provide the music for the services. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.
Visitations will be from 4-7pm Monday, April 6, 2015 at Rembs Funeral Home and again on Tuesday at the church from 9:30am until time of services. There will be a 4:00 pm Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary service at the funeral home on Monday.
She was born on April 6, 1939 in Marshfield to Einar and Elvira (Pinion) Evanson. She attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and was a 1957 graduate of Columbus High School. She married Thomas N. Bloczynski on August 23, 1958 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield. After Tom's death in 1994 she married Glen A. Boson on April 2, 1998.
Pat briefly worked at Roddis Plywood Company (then Weyerhaeuser Company, now Marshfield Doors) before she was married. After raising her four children, she was a home child care provider for several years and then was employed by M & I Bank (now BMO Harris Bank) retiring in 2000. One of her greatest joys working at the bank was coordinating the senior program.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Parish Council of Catholic Women. Pat (and Tom) were actively involved in Alpine Holiday at Columbus High for 12 years. She was also an avid Packers, Badgers, and Marshfield sports teams fan. She loved watching her grandchildren in their various activities. She loved golf and enjoyed playing courses all over the country, primarily here in Marshfield and at her winter home in Naples, FL. She also was a life-long bowler, belonging to a family team for many years and participating in state wide tournaments.
She is survived by her husband, Glen A. Boson, children, Cathy (Bill) Marx of Marshfield, Mark (Angela) Bloczynski of Hewitt, Thomas (Mary Jo) Bloczynski and Jim (Kim) Bloczynski, both of Marshfield, step children, Eric (Amy) Boson, of Marshfield, and Kirsten (Klavs) Miller of Denver, CO, and grandchildren, Dustin, Justin, Melissa (Nate), Tony (Melanie), Alex, Jake, Thomas III, Olin, Hayden, Patty Jo, Lexi, and Magnus, and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by Sara Schueller, numerous Bloczynski and Boson in-laws, nieces, nephews, grand and great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Tom, and three brothers, Ambrose, Donald and Arnold Evanson.
Memorials may be designated in her name to Columbus Catholic High School or Ministry Home Care Hospice.
