Patricia L. Ashton, 82 of Lebanon, Oregon died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. She was born on February 13, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Stanley and Roselle (Smith) Moses. She was united in marriage to Paul V. Ashton, Jr. on January 3, 1952 in Chicago while he was serving in the United States Navy. Paul died on June 30, 1999. Pat was raised in Chicago and attended school there prior to her marriage. After they were married, they moved to Cucamonga. CA, where she was employed as a cook for Cucamonga Middle and High School. When they retired, they moved to Lebanon, OR and resided there until Paul's death. She then moved to Marshfield to be near her family. She is survived by her children, Paul (Tina) Ashton, III of Apple Valley, CA, Debbie Ashton of Lebanon, OR, Kathleen (Kelly) Smith of Neillsville and Carol Ashton of Marshfield; 10 grandchildren, Christopher (Jen) Ashton, Tianna Ashton, Dan (Lynn) Moran, Sara Moran, Jason (Jessica) Brown, Jeromy (Lauren) Brown, Authrene Ashton, Amanda, Alicia and Andrea Ashton; 5 great grandchildren, Andrew and Addisyn Brown, Dillon and Aydan Moran and Araina Ashton. She is further survived by 2 brothers, Edward (Denise) Moses of Wausau and Robert Moses of Forest Park, IL. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Robert Ashton.
