Orville L. Weber, 81 of Marshfield passed away with his family at his side on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services will be 11am Thursday, April 3, 2014 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in the Town of McMillan with Pastor Douglas Westenberg officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with his grandsons as pallbearers. Visitations will be from 4-8pm Wednesday at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again on Thursday at the church from 10am until service time. There will be a luncheon following the service. Orville was born on March 21, 1933 to Frank and Elsie (Tews) Weber in the Town of McMillan and attended East Kerwin School. Orville was united in marriage to Germaine A. "Ginger" Wenzel on November 5, 1960 at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield. After school, Orville moved to Manawa where he went to work on his uncles' farm. After moving back to Marshfield, he joined the United States Army and served from 1953 to 1955. He furthered his education by training in mechanical school in the Army in France and Germany. For his overseas service, he earned the National Defense Medal and Cold War Medal. After returning home Orville joined the Blum Brothers Box Company. He went to work for the Northern Freeport Silo Company out of Withee, WI where he soon became a foreman and also had the opportunity to travel back overseas to France, Germany and England where he trained people to build silos. He enjoyed building silos immensely because he could meet new and interesting people and travel. While working for the silo company he also returned to his true passion of working with the land and nature by farming. What mattered to Orville was his unending faith in God and love and dedication to his family. He was a lifelong member of St Peter's Lutheran Church in the town of McMillan. Orville loved deer and elk hunting, coon hunting and trapping, especially with his children and grandchildren, his brothers and his uncles. He enjoyed fishing, cutting wood, making maple syrup, growing his gardens and spending time in his woods. He was blessed his entire life with the love of a large family both in birth and continuing his own after meeting the love of his life. Orville is survived by his wife Ginger, children Michele (Dan) Berens of Stratford, Bob (Barb) Weber of Auburndale, David 'Hewey'(Diane) Weber of Auburndale, Jodyne (Jason) Whitt of Black Creek, Geralyn (David) Falkosky of Marshfield; 14 grandchildren Ann Berens, Jennifer Berens, Joel (Alex) Berens, Angela (Matt) Taves, Matthew Weber, Nicholas Weber, Amanda Weber, Tyler Weber, Trayton Weber, Miles Whitt, Corey Whitt, Karlye Whitt, David "DJ" Falkosky, Jacob Falkosky and 7 great-grandchildren Alyssa Berens, Gavin Berens, Emma Berens, Jesse Berens, baby-to-be Berens, Lexi Weber and Michael Weber. He is further survived by his siblings Norma Carlson of Janesville, Vincent (Mary) Weber of Marshfield, Melvin Weber of King, Dora (Wilmer) Schmelzer of Colby, Joyce (Melvin) Gotz of Auburndale, Arlene Larson Schweiso of Marshfield, Diane (Donald) Borgen of Hewitt and Arlen Weber of Spencer. Besides his parents, he was welcomed to eternal life by two sons Dennis and Michael Weber, two brothers Martin and Allen Weber and a sister Jarlene Snortheim.
