Noel D. Rogers, 67, Marshfield, died peacefully after a brief battle with cancer on Friday, February 20, 2015 at House of the Dove, Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield with Rev. Savarimuthu Selvaraj officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion at the funeral home following the service. The family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Wednesday at Rembs Funeral Home.
Noel was born on May 26, 1947 in Stevens Point to Harry and Ione (Behr) Rogers and was a graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School, Stevens Point. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge on August 2, 1971.
He married Kathy Mattek and they later divorced. He later married Mary Ann Richardson on July 4, 2009.
Noel had been employed at the Marshfield Power Plant and then was employed at St. Joseph's Hospital as a maintenance / boiler operator until his retirement. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and enjoyed spending time at Soo Lake.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann and his children, Jeffrey (Sarah) Rogers of Chippewa Falls and grandchildren Hazel and Hattie Rogers, who will miss their "silly grandpa" and Kristin (Andrew) Grunseth of Arvada, CO. He is also survived by stepchildren, Brian (Heather) Grassl and their children, Morgan, Mason and Carter Paul; Allen (Laura) Grassl and their children, Jedd and Jordon; Christopher (Briah Cornwall) Grassl and Peyton; and Angela (Andrew) Van Asten and their children, Wyatt, Levi and Taylor. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Cheryl (Bill) Dean of Stevens Point, Sharon (Tom) Pask of Withee, Dale (Cindy) Rogers of Stevens Point, and Keith (Paulette) Rogers of Amherst.
He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Ione and a brother, Gary in infancy.
