Nina M. Wellnitz, 82, Arpin, died on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Chris Schwanz officiating. Burial will be in Arpin Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be John Hafenbredl, Jeff Knutson, Jon Knutson, Jim Knutson, Gary Carlson, Sr., and Gary Carlson, Jr. The visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 am until service time at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Nina was born on May 18, 1932 in Arpin to Ole and Margaret (Strupp) Knutson and was a graduate of Auburndale High School. She was united in marriage to Roy E. Wellnitz on August 20, 1955 in Wisconsin Rapids. He died on June 3, 2000. After her marriage Nina was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory. She then was a homemaker and raised her family. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, word puzzles and being with family and friends. She is survived by a son, Ron (Lisa) Wellnitz and a daughter, Sandra (Dave) Wellnitz-Callies, all of Arpin. She is also survived by 3 granddaughters, Rachael (John) Hafenbredl, Miranda Wellnitz, and Robyn Wellnitz and a great granddaughter, Savannah Hafenbredl. She is further survived by a sister, Elaine (Elroy) Kempf of Marshfield, 3 sisters-in-law, Jean Knutson, Roseanna Wellnitz and Esther Knutson and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a sister in infancy, and 3 brothers, Harold, Larry and Glen Knutson.
