Nicholas Francis De Nardis, age 81, of Marshfield, WI, went home to be with The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Sunday afternoon, January 10, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center.
He was born on February 4, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the second child of John and Agnes De Nardis. At an early age Nicholas enjoyed building things, to which he placed first in model building competitions as a child. He also enjoyed music playing both piano and trombone, and played football in high school. After high school he enlisted in the Air Force where he started to learn about electronics and engineering and became an instructor. After his time in the service, he worked for several companies designing and building electronics for railroad, food industry, and the automotive industry. Having his pilot's license and owning a plane at one time, he maintained navigational equipment and lighting at municipal airports as a side job.
Nicholas' hobbies included camping, boating, biking, and flying. He also had a fondness for German Shepherd dogs.
Preceded in death by father, John De Nardis, and mother, Agnes De Nardis (Pliszkiewicz).
Nicholas is survived by his wife Gloria Consuelo De Nardis; son Christopher De Nardis and wife Karen; daughter Katrina Uy and husband Michael; daughter Victoria Baus and husband John; son Nicholas De Nardis II and wife Julie; son Jonathan De Nardis and wife Kana; daughter Nicole De Nardis; son Juan Tellez and wife Haile; daughter Sabrina De Nardis; sister Patricia Mauck; sister Bonnie Zura and husband John; sister Gloria (Salmi) and husband William; brother John De Nardis and wife Helen, brother George De Nardis and wife JoAnn; brother Michael De Nardis and wife Anne; and 17 grandchildren: Jennifer and Matthew De Nardis; Allison, Anthony, Alexander, and Adam Uy; Mary Kate, Emma, Joshua, and Thomas Baus; Amber, Seth, and Isaiah De Nardis; Theodore, and Leonard De Nardis; Alan and Piero Tellez.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1017 S Central Ave. Marshfield, WI 54449 on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm.
