Nancy Ann Wieland, 94, Stratford, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Stoney River Assisted Living, Marshfield. A memorial service will held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford, where a gathering for family and friends will be from 9:00 am until service time. Rev. Andrea Fluegel will officiate. The service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Stratford. Sauter/ Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford is assisting the family. Nancy was born on June 22, 1928 in Minneapolis, to Roscoe W. and Thelma (Norman) Gammell. She was a 1946 graduate of New Richmond High School in New Richmond, WI. She then attended secretarial school. She was united in marriage to Dean H. Wieland on October 8, 1949 in Baldwin, WI. He died on October 31, 2019. Nancy was very active in the Stratford School Board. She and Dean were faithful active members of Zion Lutheran Church and were chaperones for the Good News Singers at Zion Church. They enjoyed bowling leagues, card clubs and liked to entertain. After retirement they traveled extensively and wintered in Florida for 14 years and spent summers in the north. She is survived by her children, Dee (Todd) Schultz of River Falls, Kari (Fred) Reckner of West Bend and Daniel (Deb) Wieland of Stratford. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister-in-law Janet Andrea. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Wendy Wieland. Memorials may be designated in Nancy's name to Zion Lutheran Church or the Stratford Area Food Pantry.
