Myles Emmett Smith, two-day old infant son of Austin Smith and Fiona Redmond of Rhinelander passed away May 13, 2026 at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield from complications of extreme prematurity. His twin brother survives in the NICU. 

Although his life was short, these few days were filled with love. Besides his parents, he is survived by his older brother Riley, and twin brother Emmett. Myles will also be lovingly remembered by his grandparents: Tara & Michael Redmond, Chad & Simona Smith, and Eri & Jay Martin.

Two days of grace, two days of light,
You held our world, so pure and bright.
Your tiny hands, your gentle breath,
A love that triumphs over death.

You did not stay to walk the miles,
Or share with us a lifetime's smiles,
But in those hours you softly slept,
You claimed the promises we kept.

So brief your stay, so deep your trace,
