Mona M. Dieringer, 83, Marshfield, died with her loving family by her side on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Stoney River Assisted Living, Marshfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Chris Schwanz officiating. Entombment will take place in Hillside Cemetery Mausoleum and serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Hamus, Tim Kiehl, Dean Kiehl, John Giese, Adam Knoll and John Knoll. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 am until service time at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mona was born on October 11, 1932 in Auburndale, to Jacob and Frieda (Erdman) Hamus and was a 1950 graduate of Auburndale High School.
She was united in marriage to Willard J. "Bill" Dieringer on December 26, 1977 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield.
Mona was employed as a surgical technician at St. Joseph's Hospital for 32 years. She was a very active member of Immanual Lutheran Church and its Altar Guild. She volunteered for many functions, fund raisers and dinners at the church. She also was a volunteer for Soup or Socks in Marshfield. She enjoyed traveling and visited many countries. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Bill and a son David (RaeAnne) Mueller of Mellen and 2 grandchildren, Tiffany (Keith) Hainz and Ashley (Cody) Vruwink and 7 great grandchildren, Austin, Aidan, Addison, Skylar, Kylie, Kyliah, and Brielle and another expected in June.
She is also survived by a brother, Floyd (Patricia) Hamus, a sister Darleene (Earl) Giese, all of Marshfield, and a brother-in-law, Dan Merkel of Sheboygan.
She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Rosalie in infancy, a sister, Janet Kiehl, brothers-in-law, Willard Kiehl, Jim Strupp, Gil Petroske and sisters-in-law, Betty Merkel, Shirley Strupp and Luella Petroske.
