Michelle M. Tischer, 42, of Marshfield died Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at the Abbotsford Health Care Center under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Michelle was born on December 3, 1983, in Black River Falls to Janell M. Pearson. She attended school in Spencer, graduating in 2002. After completing her education, she worked as a childcare provider.

Michelle was outgoing and friendly, with a seemingly endless sense of humor. An outdoor woman: she enjoyed disc golf, swimming, and hiking. She was well traveled, often finding her way to Colorado or Northern California.

Michelle is survived by her fiancé Daniel Schmitt of Marshfield; son Blake (Madelyn) Tischer of Wausau; mother Janell Pearson of La Crosse; her sister Melanie (Adam) Fecker of Colby; and father-in-law Kerry Schmitt. She is further survived by her grandmas Joyce Taylor of La Crosse and Doni Taylor of Plant City, FL; uncle Scott (Terri) Taylor; aunt Vonda (Rick) Gilmore; sister-in-law Jessica (Matthew) Zimmerman; nephew Hunter (Alyssa) Fecker; nieces Hailey and Hayden Fecker; cousin Josh Taylor; and dear friends Amanda Kohl and Kim Mueller.

She is preceded in death by her dad Al Wagner; grandfather Von Taylor; and great-grandparents Irene & Pete Taylor and Sylvia & Charlie Teal.
