Obituary

Maybelle E. Woiak, 88, went on to be with her Lord on Monday, July 6, 2026.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. Pastor Todd Trapani will officiate. Burial will take place in City Point Cemetery at a later date.

Maybelle was born on July 24, 1937 in Springfield, Illinois to John and Verna (Eddy) Jones. She was united in marriage to Clarence S. Woiak on November 7, 1959 at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Pittsville. He passed away on April 20, 2019.

Maybelle worked as a bookkeeper for several years and was also known as the Avon Lady in Nekoosa. She enjoyed playing Scrabble, creating and sending out homemade cards, cooking and baking for family, Sudoku, camping, and feeding birds and deer. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and always opened up her home to her childrens’ friends and was “Mom” to many.

She is survived by her children, Gregory (Mary) Woiak of Red Granite, James Woiak of Pittsville, Shelley Sweney of Superior, Andrew (Carmen) Woiak of Athens and April (Jeffrey) Peckham of Eau Claire. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

She is further survived by her sister, Johna Mae Kozemczak of Houston, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, David Lee Jones.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heartland Hospice, April and Jeff Peckham and family, Shelley, and Maybelle’s sister Johna for the compassionate and loving care they gave to our Mom.
