Maxine M. Aschebrook, 83, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014, at the Marshfield Care Center.
Maxine was born on June 1, 1930, in the town of Green Valley, to John and Clara (Luchterhand) Treutel. She was a graduate of Marshfield Senior High School and attended UW-Steven's Point.
She was united in marriage to Eugene W. Aschebrook on October 18, 1948, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Rozellville. After their wedding, they moved to Frankville, Iowa where Eugene worked as a cheese maker. They eventually moved to Auburndale where they farmed and raised their eight children in the house that she was born in.
Over the years she was employed at Fiskars in Wausau and the Weinbrenner Shoe Factory, David's Restaurant, and Hardee's in Marshfield. She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards, embroidering, and finding bargains at garage sales.
She is survived by her children, Phyllis Adkins of Johnson Creek, Dave (Jill) Aschebrook of Greendale, Gordy (Donna) Aschebrook of Beaver Dam, Brian Aschebrook of Auburndale, Kelly (Lisa) Aschebrook of Oshkosh, Darrin (Jodi) Aschebrook of Nekoosa, and Danny Aschebrook of West Bend; and a daughter-in-law, Betty Aschebrook of Edgar. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Roger (Dorothy) Aschebrook of Marshfield, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Lyle; son-in-law, Carl Adkins; daughter-in-law, Deb Aschebrook; grandson, Eric Aschebrook; twin granddaughters, Amanda and Jessica Aschebrook; great-granddaughter, Phoebe; brother, Leroy Treutel; three sister-in-laws, Rita Treutel, Virginia Denk, and Arliss Aschebrook; and brother-in-law, Arnold Denk.
Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield with FR. Jim Logan officiating.
Visitations will be from 4-8pm Tuesday at Rembs Funeral Home and again from10am until service time on Wednesday at Rembs Funeral Home.
Private family visitations will be held prior to the services.
Following the services, a luncheon will be held at the Wildwood Park Pavilion in Marshfield.
