Maureen M. Holden, 78, Marshfield, died on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Pittsville with Rev. Robert Nelson officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joachim Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Joachim Catholic Church on Wednesday from 9:00 am until service time. Maureen was born a child of God and daughter of Merton and Clara (Hummel) Morgan on October 31, 1934 in Adams County. And was a graduate of Adams Friendship High School. She was united in marriage to Kenneth J. Holden on October 5, 1955 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Adams Friendship. He died on April 20, 1992. Maureen worked as a certified nursing assistant for the Department of Aging. She also volunteered for many years at the Marshfield Area Respite Center where she was honored as volunteer of the year. She attended art classes at Mid-State Technical College, Marshfield, and was a wonderful artist. She enjoyed painting, flowers arranging and crafts. She was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by a daughter and 2 sons, Sandy (John) LaBarge of Wisconsin Rapids, DuWayne (Holly) Holden of Eleveth, MN, and Brian Holden of Rozellville. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. She is further survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Fred (Elaine) Morgan, Lola (Harold) Wilson and Nancy (David) Marsh, all of Wisconsin Rapids, and Daniel (Marilyn) Morgan of Wisconsin Dells.
