Maryanne Kurtzweil, 92 of Marshfield died on Monday morning, December 8, 2014 at the Golden Living Center Three Oaks. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00am Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Halder with Fr. Paul Britto officiating. Janet Schmidt will provide the music for the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Maryanne was born on August 13, 1922 in Edgar, WI to Rupert and Annette (Cepuder) Kurtzweil, Sr. She was a 1939 graduate of Stratford High School. She was a legal secretary in the Chicago area for most of her working life. During WWII Maryanne worked at Douglas Aircraft in Des Plaines, IL. A world traveler, Maryanne also enjoyed golf, photography, and duplicate bridge. She was a young lady when she got her pilot's license and garnered much enjoyment from solo flights. A good cook and baker, she would try out a new recipe on whoever came in the door. Maryanne is survived by her sisters Floreine Kurtzweil of Marshfield, Dorothy (Bill) Sauer of Ohio, Cecilia Kurtzweil of Edgar, and Toni (Lloyd) Lang of Marathon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Valerie Filipovitch and her brother Rupert Kurtzweil, Jr. The family would like to extend their appreciation for the loving care Maryanne received from the staff at Three Oaks over the course of 9½ years.
