IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary C.
White
August 24, 1932 – September 26, 2023
Mary C. White, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at her home in the Town of Rock.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, WI where a gathering for family and friends will be from 12:30 pm until service time. Burial will be in Brooklawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Town of Richfield, Wood County.
Mary was born on August 24, 1932, in West Allis, WI, the youngest daughter in a family of eight children. She met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) White, in 1955 in West Allis and they were married on May 25, 1957. Thereafter, they lived in Milwaukee where they had six children, and later moved to Marshfield, WI, in 1971. There she began working at the Marshfield Clinic in 1973 as an administrative secretary and enjoyed a 25-year career there until her retirement in 1997. Mary and Bob had many happy and fulfilling years together after her retirement, spending time with their children and grandchildren and traveling throughout the United States. She especially enjoyed gardening, socializing with friends, and volunteering at the Marshfield Ronald McDonald House. Mary loved telling stories about her large family, always delivered with her quick wit and sharp sense of humor.
Mary is survived by her children, Karen (Robert) Behnken of Virginia Beach, VA, Jerry White of Minneapolis, MN, Glenn (Missy) White of Hewitt, WI, Laura White of Marshfield, WI, and Larry (Julie) White of Seattle, WA. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Meghan Southers, Briann Southers and Clayton White, five great grandchildren, Kayla, Zachary, Christopher, Ryan and Reilly and a great great grandchild, Kynnly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, a daughter, Laura Jean in infancy, a granddaughter, Jillian White, and siblings, Robert Solowicz, James Solowicz, Lenore Keller, Ruth Cornell, Dick Solowicz, Al Solowicz, and Billy Solowicz.
Special thanks to the St. Croix Hospice Team, especially Breanna, and her neighbor, Linda Peterson.
