Mary Ann Tomlinson, 65, Arpin, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 29 at Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago following her return from her lifelong dream vacation in Rome, Italy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in the town of Sigel on Friday, October 5th with Father Nathan officiating. Visitations will be held the night prior from 4-8 pm at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home in Junction City, and on Friday an hour prior to mass. Burial will take place at St. Kilian Catholic Cemetery in Blenker.
Mary was born May 14, 1953 in Wisconsin Rapids to Edward and Agnes (Ashbeck) Fuehrer. She was a graduate of Assumption High School and went on to earn a degree in Early Childhood Education from Mid-State Tech in Wisconsin Rapids. She had recently retired from Bright Horizons Childcare after 20 years.
She married Ronald Tomlinson at Holy Rosary Church on October 25, 1975 and together they raised 3 daughters. Mary was an active volunteer in the church. She enjoyed her garden, growing flowers, and feeding "her birds". In her free time she had also taken to crocheting, travelling with her husband, and spoiling her grandkids whom she adored.
Mary is survived by her husband of nearly 43 years Ron Tomlinson, her daughters: Lynelle (Paul) Wennesheimer of Milladore, Jennifer Tomlinson of Marshfield, and Andrea (Ben) Strooisma of Spencer. She is further survived by 3 grandchildren: Emma, Lee, and Ray Wennesheimer, and her siblings: Gregory (Karen) Fuehrer, William (Deborah) Fuehrer, Nathan Fuehrer, Arnetta (Patrick) McClaine, Dianne (James) Quinn, Elizabeth (Gerald) Osowski, Rosemary (John) Hokamp, Pamela (Dan) Hustedt, and Terese (Paul) Olson. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws.
