Obituary

Mary Louise Mallory-Benkowski (nee Ahlborn), 84, of the Town of Remington died peacefully Friday June 17, 2022 at her home. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 6th at 1:00 pm at the Babcock Town Hall. Mary was born November 17, 1937 on the family farm in Babcock to Charles and Elnora (Sorrell) Ahlborn. She attended school in Pittsville and later in Bay View, WI where she later graduated from. She married Curtis Mallory Sr. in 1956 and they later divorced. Mary then married Ben Benkowski in Babcock on May 4, 1990. She had worked at Peck/Embers Meats in Milwaukee for many years and had more recently been involved with Quality Control at Ocean Spray in Babcock. Mary was President of Babcock Community Church. She was also a woman of eclectic interests: she enjoyed watching Heartland and Guy's Grocery on the television, was an avid Packer fan, loved bird watching, flowers, and her garden; doing puzzles, crosswords, & playing cribbage. She spent time at the casino, driving around watching the deer & bear, and most of all visiting with family and friends. She is survived by her children Janis (the late Alan) Pesek of Babcock, Curtis Mallory Jr. of Wisconsin Dells, Jayne Dawson of Wauwatosa, and Kent (Jody) Mallory of Babcock. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren: Jeremy (Jeanette) Pesek, Daniel (Nikki) Pesek, Joshua (Savannah) Pesek, Curtis Mallory III, Christy Mallory, Cheyanne Mallory, Keith Dawson, Jeffrey Little Jr., Alex (fiancé Cory) Mallory, and Jamie (Kallie) Mallory. Great Grandchildren: Skyler, Samuel, Shayden, & Avirex Pesek, Curtis Mallory IV, Jackson, Kansas, Wahkian, Aniyah, and Mahnipay Mallory, Ethan, Kaitlyn, Autumn, Brynnleigh, and Maverick Mallory. Great-Great-Granddaughter Kensley Mallory. Mary is also survived by two sisters: Caroline Paul of Weyauwega, and Donna Ahlborn of Babcock, and her beloved dog Buddy, and horse Montana. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Andy Mallory, and her siblings Robert Rasmussen, Norman Ahlborn, James Ahlborn, Charles Ahlborn Sr., William Ahlborn, Bonnie Stillman, Beverly Butero, and Beatrice Buddinger.
