IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Lois
Linzmeier
June 18, 1940 – December 15, 2025
Mary Lois Linzmeier passed peacefully on December 15, 2025, with her daughter Susan by her side.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at St. Kilian's Catholic Church, Blenker, where rosary and visitation is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Aaron Linzmeier, Troy Kollross, Mason Kollross, Geremiah Schuette, and Issac Linzmeier. Mary was born on June 18, 1940, to Helen (Raeder) and George Breu in Auburndale, WI, and grew up on the family farm with her sisters and brothers. Upon graduation from Auburndale High School, she went on to attend beauty college. Mary married Wallace (Wally) Linzmeier on October 17, 1959, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale, WI. Mary and Wallace were married 62 years, until his passing in 2022.
They farmed in the Auburndale/Milladore area until retiring in 2018. Mary was a devoted, wife, mother, grandmother and sister. While raising their four children, Mary could often be found in the kitchen cooking, baking, or working in the garden. One of her greatest joys was sewing, whether it was to patch an article of clothing or create a quilt for someone dear to her. She was a devoted farm wife, working side by side, with Wallace, to make sure chores were done and animals were cared for. A reason to go shopping was never passed up, even if it was a trip to Fleet Farm. She enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. They always knew Grandma had homemade cookies in the cookie jar. Mary was compassionate and always cared for the needs of others.
Survivors include her children, Gary (Sandy), Milladore, Susan (Michael) Kollross, Milladore, Wayne (Jodi), Auburndale and Cheryl (Terry) Carothers, New London, WI.
She is also survived by grandchildren; Aaron (Kristin) Linzmeier, Megan Kollross, Troy (Morgan Nicholson) Kollross, Mason Kollross, Geremiah Schuette, Leah (Nick) LaFave, Kaylah Schuette, and Isaac Linzmeier. She is further survived by five great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; George Breu Jr., Ardelle Vandehey, Robert Breu, "Mitzi" Dieringer, Diane Breu, Bernadette Breu and grandson, Nicholas Linzmeier.
The family would like to thank North Shore HealthCare and Heartland Hospice staff who cared for Mary with kindness and compassion during her last years.
