Mary Jo Goecks, 57 of Green Bay, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at her cabin in the town of Hiles, west of Pittsville, WI. Mary was born on July 3, 1956 in Marshfield, WI to Arnold and Hazel (Macha) Nordman. She was united in marriage to Richard D. Goecks on September 6, 1975. Mary worked and enjoyed many different jobs over the years, as a dispatcher, working for the DNR in customer service and working as a CNA in a retirement home in Green Bay. However, her true love was spending time with her two sons, three granddaughters, and soulmate Richard. Mary loved spending time at the cabin, hunting, fishing, baking, and being a mother to all and enjoying life Mary is survived by her husband Richard of Green Bay, sons Jay Goecks of Pittsville and Brad Goecks (Sarah)of Green Bay; three grandchildren Judy, Jaden and McKenzie Goecks. She is further survived by two sisters Sherry Doege of Appleton and Armilla (Lucky) Mitchell of Emporia, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her parents. Our family would like to send out a special thanks to all of her friends, family, Dr. Volk, and the wonderful staff at Green Bay oncology for all the special care they gave to her over the years.
