Mary was born on January 22, 1929 in Marshfield to Frank and Hazel (Weigel) Weissenbeck. She attended St. John's Parochial School and graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1947.
On June 9, 1949 she was united in marriage to Stephen J. Forst at St. John's Catholic Church, he sadly passed away on June 4, 2007.
Mary wore a coat of many colors. She enjoyed working on the family farm and growing a big garden. She was very active in the Shady Lane 4-H Club as project and drama leader. We were always amazed at her sewing and bakery talents. She welcomed everyone into her home with a cup of coffee and everyone knew where the cookie jar was.
In her early years, she worked at Adler's Bakery and a sewing center. Her greatest love was w orking 35 years at the nursing home of West 14th Street. She enjoyed helping others.
She is survived by seven children, Tom Forst of Hewitt, Richard (Sue) Forst of Stratford, Joan (Mark) Elfe of Spencer, David Forst of Marshfield, Mike (Judy) Forst of Marshfield, Robert (Deb) Forst of Marshfield and Judy (Brian) Caldwell of Marshfield; 20 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister Marge Bredl of Marshfield.
Besides her parents, husband, she was preceded in death by grandson Nicholas Forst, daughter-in-law Georgia Forst, and three brothers Carley, John and Herman Weissenbeck.
