Marvin P. Hahn, 84, Pittsville, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Bethel Center, Arpin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, October 30, 2015 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Pittsville with Fr. Bob Nelson officiating, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am until service time.
Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Marvin was born on January 28, 1931 on the farm in the town of Wood to William Sr. and Anna (Sternot) Hahn. He attended Pleasant Corners Country School. On June 25, 1956 he married Dorothy Olsen at St. James Church in Vesper. Together they operated a dairy farm in the town of Wood.
He was a handyman, self-taught jack-of-all trades. He was an honest, hard working, generous, kind, gentle man who loved polka music and dancing. He had a great sense of humor with an infectious laughter! He was a devoted catholic that never missed a mass; he was a member of both the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of 59 years and children: Kenneth Hahn of Pittsville, Sharon (Jerry) Reyes of Nekoosa, Michael Hahn of Pittsville, Susan (Jeff) Behr of Nekoosa, Jeff Hahn of Pittsville, Cindy (Jim) Knutson of Pittsville, and Michelle (Richard) Thiel of Pittsville. Twelve grandchildren: Samantha, Mickenzie & Kate Hahn; Tiffany, Steve, & Brett Reyes; Deric, Dana, & Desirae Hahn; Becca Behr; Ryan Knutson; Jade Thiel. He is further survived by 6 great grandchildren and three brothers: Donald Hahn of Pittsville, William (Kathy) Hahn Jr. of Pittsville, Richard (Nancy) Hahn of Deforest; one brother-in-law Richard Olsen of Vesper, and many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson Nick Behr, two sisters Marion Dix & JoAnn Lipka, one brother Arnold Hahn.
