Marlene Y. Mews, age 89, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2023 at the Marshfield Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hewitt with the Rev. Dean Pingel officiating. A visitation for family and friends will take place at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Brooklawn Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Marlene was born on October 12, 1934, in Loyal, Wisconsin to Edd and Agnes (Schmidt) Dobbe. She graduated from Loyal high school in Loyal WI.

Marlene married Walter "Foxie" Mews on October 4, 1958 in Loyal, Wisconsin. They had 46 wonderful years together.

Marlene worked at "MEWD" Marshfield Utilities for many years. She was the payroll clerk and everyone loved her when she delivered their paychecks. Grandma "Yaya", as her great grandchildren affectionately called her, had many interests. She loved going to the casino, taking bus trips and playing sheepshead. She attended many sports events and choir concerts with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Todd (Sylvia) Mews, her daughter Tammy (Norbert) Strupp. Her grandchildren Ryan (Rachael) Mews, Craig Mews, Jamie Strupp, Kelly (Matt) Klawitter. Her great-grandchildren Amber, Garrett Mews, Braxton, Tayson, Lennox Klawitter and many nieces, nephews and great friends. She is also survived by Jennifer "Stuer" Segura a special person of the family.

She is further survived by her sister-in-laws Dona Kollath, Marlene Rasmussen, Marie Mews, Jenny Mews and her brother-in-law Ron (Arlene) Mews.

She was predeceased by her husband Walter, son Terry Mews, her sisters Viginia Neubauer, Shirley Coulthurst, her brother in laws Jerry Mews, Lloyd Mews, Gerald Kollath, Doug Rasmussen, Victor Neubauer, niece Deb Amos and step grandson Jason Strupp.
