Marlene K. Freedlund left this earth for an eternal life on October 8, 2017. She was born on October 6, 1950 to the late Norman and Donna (Davis) Freedlund. She graduated from Pittsville High School and then furthered her education at Manpower. She then began employment at Consolidated Papers, later becoming Stores System Administrator at StoraEnso, and then finishing her 40 years with the paper Industry at NewPage. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids and its Evening Guild. She also volunteered her time working at fundraisers for the South Wood County Humane Society. She is survived by her sisters, Harriet (Arlan) Castner and Wanda Freedlund, her brothers, Jim (Carol) and Lowell, her sister-in-law, Susan, seven nieces, one nephew and many caring friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers, Mahlon, Ronald, Dale, David and Walter. The family wishes to thank the staff at Arborwood Lodge and Aspirus Hospice for their care.
