Mark John Wenzel, 53, Marshfield, died peacefully at his home with family by his side on Thursday, August 7, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, August 11, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be sons, Nathan Wenzel, Jim Wenzel and Jeremy Wenzel and brothers-in-law, Floyd Zopfi, Mike Feirer, and Bill Feirer. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Monday from 9:30 am until service time at St. John's Catholic Church. Mark was born on July 10, 1961 in Marshfield to John and Sandra (Loken) Wenzel and was a 1979 graduate of Columbus High School. He married Julie Feirer on May 18, 1990 in Marshfield. Mark had been employed at Taco John's in Marshfield. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching WWE, and was a Packer fan and Dale Jr.fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with the children. He is survived by his wife, Julie, children, Nathan, James, Jeremy and stepdaughter, Jenni Holt. He is also survived by his parents. John and Sandy Wenzel and siblings, Kris (Tim) Herr, David (Debbie) Wenzel and John (Sue) Wenzel. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the doctors and nurses from 4 N and 8 N at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, the Emergency Room Department and Home Hospice.
