Mark D. Scheuer, 60, of Marshfield passed away the early morning of Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI with his family by his side.

A Celebration of Mark’s life will be held at a later date.

Mark was born September 26, 1965 in Marshfield to Richard and Dolores (Weigel) Scheuer. He attended local schools graduating in 1984 and, in his early years, was active in 4H having won many awards as an exhibitor at the Fair. Mark later attended the UW in Madison earning a B.S. in Biochemistry. He was proud to have worked as a tutor while in Madison and while wintering in California. Mark had a clever sense of humor that could light up a room. He was also a prolific gardener, card player, and chess master.

He was truly one of a kind and meant so much to so many. He gave us countless memories filled with laughter, shenanigans, and unforgettable moments that always kept life interesting. Time and again, he beat the odds, and despite all that he faced, he continued to make the most of life with remarkable resilience. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Mark is survived by his siblings: Larry (Cindy) Scheuer of Marshfield, Duane (Delores) Scheuer of Marshfield, Linda Langman of Palm Desert, CA, Debra (Tom) Sinn of Chili, Rick Scheuer of Marshfield, and Cheryl (Dave) Swensen of Auburndale. He is further survived by nieces and nephews Eric Langman, Ryan (Grace) Langman, Greg Scheuer, Aaron Swensen, Kelly Silbernagel and Michelle Sinn and 2 great-nieces: Emma and Addison Moen, and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew: Nick Scheuer.
