Marion E. Werner, 83 of Marshfield died on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Golden Living Three Oaks in Marshfield. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 am Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Peter Manickam officiating. Dorothy Gehrke along with Sacred Heart Funeral Choir will provide the music. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Visitations will begin at 9:00 am Thursday at Sacred Heart until service time. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Marion was born on March 20, 1928 in Stratford to Adam and Anna (Hoffmann) Hein. She was united in marriage to Peter J. Werner on October 25, 1947 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Stratford. Peter passed away on April 19, 1986. She was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory in Marshfield and retired from Weyerhaeuser Company. They enjoyed hunting, fishing, canning and being with her nieces and nephews. She is lovingly survived by her sister Elizabeth (Ernest) Lau of Rhinelander and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Peter, one sister Eleanor Thomas and a brother Ray Hein. Memorials may be directed to AseraCare Hospice of Wausau.
