Marion A. Hintzel, age 94, of Marshfield, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Marshfield Health Services.

Marion was born on July 14, 1931 in Green Bay, WI, to Thomas and Gladys (Francois) Mahoney. Marion and her parents moved to Chicago when she was nine and she received her education in Illinois schools.

She was united in marriage to Donnie C. Zarbock of Villa Park, Illinois on December 19, 1953. He passed away suddenly in May of 1974. She later married William H. Hintzel of Lansing, IL. After Bill’s retirement they moved to Charlotte, NC. Bill died there in 1995. Following Bill’s death, Marion came to Marshfield to live with her friends, Frank and Pat Jacobitz.

Marion was employed in office and administrative positions.

She is survived by her children, Eric Zarbock of Denver, CO, and Kurt Zarbock of Willmington, NC and stepson, Terry (Pat) Hintzel of Willmington, IL. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Astara, Neil and John Zarbock.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.
