Marie Ann Shefchik, 86, Marshfield, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 5th at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. Keith Kitzhaber officiating. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Parish Cemetery, Bakerville. The visitation will be from 9:00 am on Thursday until service time at Rembs Funeral Home. Marie was born on June 30, 1934 in Kewaunee, to Charles and Bernice (Knappmiller) Nenahlo and graduated high school in 1952. She married Leo Shefchik on May 12, 1954 in at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby. The Shefchiks had farmed in the Town of Beaver until 1960 when they moved to Nasonville. Marie had found work in the Marshfield area as a waitress and then as head cook for the Patio Restaurant. She later worked as a surgical tech in St. Joseph's Hospital until her retirement. They were members of Corpus Christi Church. Marie had enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, and watching the Green Bay Packers with her boys. She is survived by her children: Mark (Betsy) Shefchik of Wisconsin Rapids, Scott Shefchik of Marshfield, Brian (Deb) Shefchik of Menomonie, Nicki (David) Wayerski of Menomonie, Nancy Lang of Marshfield, and Jeff (Debbie) Shefchik of Orlando, Florida. She is further survived by 16 grandkids: Thias, Alex, Vannella, Vannessa, Megan, Autum, Brandi, Brandon, Erica, Kip, Margo, Kade, Gabby, Ally, Grace, & Finn; and 21 great grandkids: Willa, Daphne, Tristynn, Teagynn, Tynnlee, Harper, Emmer, River, Brianna, Vilo, Vienna, Marek, Rainer, Hudson, Harlow, Isabella, Marcello, Olivia, Mckayla, Jazlyn, & Addilyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leo, her sons: Robin, Kurt, & Tony, and her daughter Colleen.
