Obituary

Margie J. Schneider, 92, Marshfield, passed away with family by her side on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Three Oaks Health Service, Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Marshfield, where the visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00 am until service time. Rev. Jon Guenther will officiate. Burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery in the Town of Alvin, Forest County, Wisconsin. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Margie was born on August 5, 1925 in Iron River, Michigan to Edward and Gracie (Huff) Mitchell and was a graduate of Iron River High School. She was united in marriage to David P. Schneider on October 5, 1946 in Stambaugh, Michigan. He passed away on September 19, 2004. Margie had been employed as a telephone operator for many years at Michigan Bell Telephone Company. Later she and her husband owned and operated Dave's IGA in Iron River where she also was bookkeeper. In 1985 the Schneiders moved to Marshfield where she was employed at Figi's, becoming a supervisor after a short time. Margie was always "on the go" and doing for others as well as keeping very busy with various crafts and hobbies. She loved and was loved by and dedicated to her family. She had a strong belief in her faith which she passed on to her family. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Durocher of Marshfield, Peggy (Charles) Paul of Marquette, MI, and Kathryn "Katie" (Richard) Myers of Marinette. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kimberly, Terri (Danny), Richard (Michelle), Shawn (Amy), Matthew (Kendra) and Tiffany (Chad) and 17 great grandchildren, Karri, Chad, Jessica, Penny, Cassandra, MacKenzie, Garrett, Kennedy, Aiden, Addison, Auston, Mariah, Elizabeth, Nevaeh, Parker, Maya, Charlotte, and 4 great great grandchildren, Bryson, Alexandrea, Kennedy and Hazel. She is further survived by her sister, Dorothy Stoychoff of Green Bay. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
