Margaret Weigel, age 100, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully Thursday April 20, 2023 under the care of Compassus Hospice Services and her sister Darlene.

Margaret (Margie) Weigel was born to Henry and Anna Rehlinger on May 14, 1922 at the farm home in Rozellville. After graduating from St. Andrews Catholic School in Rozellville, she helped care for her brothers and sisters. Later, she worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory until she retired. Throughout Margie's life she enjoyed playing cards, bowling in leagues and spending time with family. She was everyone's favorite Aunt.

On October 23, 1946 she married James Weigel. After 58 years of marriage, Jim passed away on August 14, 2005.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Anna Rehlinger; her brothers Bro. Mark Rehlinger OFMCAP, Sylvester, Norman, Lavern, and Charles; sisters-in-law Theresa, Lorraine, and Lillian; Mother and Father in-law, Teresa and Otto Weigel; sisters-in-law, Helen Gruber and Ann Pongratz, and brothers-in-law, Herb Weigel, Frank Gruber, and Michael Pongratz.

Margie is survived by her sisters Marilyn (David) Fehrenbach and Darlene (Richard) Lindquist. She is further survived my many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 201 West Blodgett St. Marshfield, WI on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10:30 am. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at the church. Immediately following the service, burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield. A luncheon will then be served at St. John Catholic School. Margie's nieces and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
