Margaret G. Kraus, 80, Hewitt, Wisconsin, went home to be with our Lord on February, 26, 2015. Margaret died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. Margaret was born on January 8, 1935 to Michael and Lillian (Tylka) Jozwiak in Stratford, Wisconsin. She married Donald G. Kraus on July 14, 1956 at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford, WI. Margaret and Donald had five children, Thomas A. Kraus, Santa Clara, CA, Barbara A. Hayden (Scott T. Anderson), Minneapolis, MN, Terrence D. Kraus, Albuquerque, NM, Mary C. Howard (Kevin), Oconomowoc, WI, and Kathleen J. Braman (Gary), Verona, WI. Together, Margaret and Donald farmed many years in the Town of Marshfield before moving to Hewitt, WI. Margaret then began working at St. Joseph's Hospital where she worked until her retirement in 1999. Throughout her life, Margaret most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to play the accordion and organ. She brought many people to their feet once she began playing her polkas. In her retirement, Margaret also enjoyed many years singing with the choirs at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hewitt, WI, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale, WI, and most recently, St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield, WI. She also enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adeline's singers. Margaret is survived by the love of her life, Donald, her five children, and her eight grandchildren, Kathryn and Emily Kraus, Zachary, Alex, and Brandon Howard, and Amelia, Isabel, and Sophie Braman. She is further survived by her sisters, Marcella (Sally) Vesely and Patricia Maguire, and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Jozwiak, along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her Mother and Father, an infant sister, Theresa Jozwiak, two sisters, Loretta Schwantes and Joan Sersch, her brother, Edward Jozwiak, and her three brothers-in-law, Gordon (Sam) Schwantes, Charles Sersch, and Harold Vesely. A Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of Margaret's life will be held on March 7, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, WI. Visitation will be held before the Mass from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Margaret's family encourages donations to be given in her name to Ministry Home Care and Hospice, Marshfield, WI. Those wishing to make a memorial gift may do so in Margaret's name to the family who will give them to charities Margaret supported.
