Margaret A. Eggebrecht, 98, Marshfield, died on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Friday from 9:30 am until service time at St. John's Catholic Church. St. John's Parish Council of Catholic Women will recite the rosary at 4:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
Margaret was born on December 29, 1917 in Marshfield to Rudolph and Theresa (Kaholka) Wenzel and was a 1936 graduate of McKinley High School. As a young lady, Marge was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory. After her marriage she was a devoted wife and mother. She was united in marriage to Oakley C. Eggebrecht on August 26, 1950 at St. John's Catholic Church. He died on October 13, 2009.
Marge enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family. She especially cherished her grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Catholic Church and a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Randy) Ekvall of Overland Park, Kansas and a son William Eggebrecht of Marshfield. She is also survived by 2 grandsons, Jay and Chris Ekvall. She is further survived by 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Ruth Wenzel of Marshfield, Mary (Don) Watson of Athens, Georgia, Frederick Wenzel of Monona and John (Sandy) Wenzel of Sayner.
She was predeceased by a son, Thomas in infancy, her parents, her husband, a brother, Richard Wenzel and sisters-in-law, Jo Wenzel and Mary Ann Wenzel.

Memorials may be designated in her name to Ministry St. Joseph's Palliative Care or to St. John's Catholic Church.
