Margaret A. "Peggy" Childers, took her final adventure to be with God on Wednesday, September 16, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Rembs Funeral Home with Rev. James Logan officiating. The visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday and from 10:00 am until service time on Tuesday at Rembs Funeral Home.
Peggy was born on June 19, 1946 in Marshfield, to Leonard and Jean (Berg) Zuehlke and was a 1964 graduate of Columbus High School. She was married to Richard Holland and later to William "Bill" Childers and then her special friend and companion Jim Fernald.
Trucking was Peggy's work passion. She owned and operated Badger Northern Trucking in Spencer and later worked with several other trucking companies. She enjoyed working as a volunteer at the hospital, with Hospice and the House of the Dove. Her passions were the loves of her life, her grandchildren, traveling, transportation industry and needlework.
She is survived by her 3 children, Tom (Sandra) Holland, Nancy Holland/Johnson and Steve Holland. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Each one of her children had a set of twins which she was very proud of. And 2 had a spare child. The spares came first, Dustin and Alyssa. Then came the twins, Garrett and Gracie, Andrew and Olivia and last but not least, Christopher and David. She is further survived by her sisters, Susanne (Jerome) Grosbier, Dorothy Zuehlke and stepsister Joan Multerer.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husbands, Dick Holland, Bill Childrers, her companion, Jim Fernald, a brother, Robert Johnson and a brother-in-law Ervin Multerer.
