Marcella "Sally" J. Hill, 101, Marshfield, died peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at House of the Dove, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Spencer, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 am until service time at Christ the King Church, where a rosary service will be held at 10:45 am on Friday. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Marcella was born on July 11, 1912 in Marshfield, to William and Mary (Heckel) Gessert. She was united in marriage to Glenn F. Hill on July 11, 1939. He died on February 19, 1966. Sally had been employed at Mid State Cheese Factory, Weinbrenner Shoe Company and retired from V & H Automotive. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, baking, polka dancing and shaking dice. She is survived by her children, Anne Krueger of Chicago, Eugene (Nancy) Hill of Marshfield, Kenneth (Carol) Hill of Chili, Mary Hunter of Chicago, Diane (Dave) McGovern of Chicago, and Susan (Ronald) Brun of Marshfield, a son-in-law John Brewer of Chicago and a daughter-in-law, Janice Hill of Marshfield. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Marie Miller of Green Bay. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Bonnie Brewer, a son Leonard Hill, a granddaughter, Gina Marie Hill, brothers, Peter, Melvin, Raymond, Carl, and Walter Gessert and sisters, Cecelia Schaefer and Gertrude Nachtman.
